I love this prayer so much!

Oct. 15 is the feast of St. Teresa of Avila. She was a mystic, writer, Carmelite nun, reformer of the Carmelite Order, and is one of four female Doctors of the Church.

The prayer below, also known as “St. Teresa’s Bookmark” is perfect in times of distress or anxiety. It puts into perspective life’s meaning: that we are here for God, and that this life and its sufferings will pass.

St. Teresa’s message is clear: Do not distress. Do not be afraid. Do not lose hope. God is always with you, and He alone will satisfy you.

Here’s St. Teresa of Avila’s Bookmark prayer below:

St. Teresa of Avila’s Bookmark:

“Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away.
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.”

St. Teresa of Avila, please pray for us!
