Congratulations to our dear Mother Angelica! 👏👏👏

EWTN foundress Mother Mary Angelica was inducted into the Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame on March 5, 2020, according to Judson College.

She joined more than 90 other women, including Helen Adams Keller, Rosa Parks, and To Kill a Mockingbird author Harper Lee.

Mother Angelica is the second consecrated religious to receive this honor. She follows Sr. Chrysostom Moynahan of the Daughters of Charity.

Established in 1970, the Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame “provides a permanent place of honor for Alabama’s most outstanding women and a place for people to visit and learn about the significant contributions that these women have made to our state and nation.”

This is not the only Hall of Fame recognition Mother Angelica received.

The Birmingham Business Hall of Fame also inducted the EWTN foundress in 2018. The organization “annually selects business leaders who have exemplified strong leadership and made extraordinary contributions to the Greater Birmingham area.”
