Priest Shot Outside Orthodox Church in France, Suspect at Large

A Greek Orthodox priest was shot twice in the abdomen while closing the doors of The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Lyon, France at 4 pm local time on Sat., Oct. 31. Many reports say the priest is in serious condition and “being treated at the site.” Another French report says he died.

According to several other reports, the suspect is “on the run” and allegedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” after shooting the priest.

The attack comes just two days after another terrorist attack at the Basilica of Notre Dame in Nice, France.
