Happy Halloween! 🎃 🎃🎃
Chaldean Catholic priest Fr. Simon Esshaki gave excellent tips in a recent video for Catholics celebrating Halloween.
“Let me first tell you the wrong way: it’s to focus on the evil and pagan aspects of the holiday, even if those things contributed to the formation of Halloween,” Fr. Esshaki begins.
“Instead, let me tell you why Halloween can actually be a beautiful thing to participate in, and it begins with the word itself. The word ‘hallow‘ means to honor as holy, or a saint or holy person.”
“It’s okay for Christians to participate in Halloween, as long as you do it the right way: Celebrate the Saints!” Fr. Esshaki adds in his tweet.
