This is a beautiful movie! 😍

Actor and executive producer Kirk Cameron sat down with ChurchPOP Editor Jacqueline Burkepile to discuss his new pro-life movie, ‘Lifemark,’ hitting theaters for one week only starting Sept. 9.

The movie follows the true story of David, a young man searching for his birth parents. The movie is based on the documentary, “I Lived on Parker Avenue.

Cameron describes the movie as “one woman’s agonizing choice over what to do about an unplanned pregnancy, combined with story of a brand new couple starting their family, and the journey of a young man trying to discover the beginnings of his life.”

“[Lifemark] is pro-family, pro-life, pro-love, pro-forgiveness, pro-reconciliation and new beginnings. [It’s] all about life in the womb and the beauty of adoption.”

Cameron explains that the story is especially meaningful because his wife was adopted. They also adopted four children.

“My four kids and my wife were one doctor appointment away from not existing. And if my wife had not been born, neither would our two natural-born children.

“When I saw this movie about the preciousness of life, and the impact that a woman’s choice makes on countless numbers of lives, I wanted to turn it into a movie.”

The actor and producer also says “it’s perfect timing,” as he never anticipated Roe vs. Wade’s reversal “right on the heels” of the movie’s release.

“Who would have thought in our lifetime, that Roe vs. Wade would be aborted from the law books? And right on the heels of this Supreme Court decision comes a movie in the theaters celebrating the value of life in the womb and the beauty of adoption!?”

“God sets the timetable,” Cameron continues. “We have our plans, but ultimately, he determines our path. I hope and pray that this is the beginning of our entire nation turning onto a path that celebrates the culture of life.”
