This is so beautiful! 😭

Catholic journalist and Shalom World correspondent Sachin Jose posted a tearjerking video on the Oct. 5 feast of St. Faustina.

The video depicts “a young woman entering cloistered life as a Carmelite nun.” Family and friends surround the young woman as she “leaves the world” for a life in the cloister.

Cloistered, or enclosed convents, often limit or cut off all outside communication with the outside world, including all family and friends.

The post does not specify the location of the Carmelite order the woman enters. However, the habit resembles that of St. Therese of Lisieux.

Here’s the video below:

The video first depicts the convent doors opening as the woman receives a blessing.

She bows, receives the blessing, and bids farewell to her family. Nuns chant in the background and the family weeps as they say goodbye. The woman then waves, turns to approach the entryway, and kneels before a nun to kiss the crucifix. The nuns throw flower petals in celebration as the doors close.

Here’s how some people reacted to the video:

Another user wrote, “The lovely girl is entering a very special, blessed, and rare moment, but l don’t know why it brought a lump to my throat and tears in my eyes. It’s just mixed feelings of earthly sadness but heavenly joy.”

This user added, “Although she does not ‘go’ forever, it is a complete change in her life. Tears are necessary; they cleanse the soul.”

@SrMonopolio, Twitter

Another user also said, “To anyone [to whom this] has happened, it is a beautiful moment of joy. Nobody suffers for what he chooses. It is a sacrifice for those he loves. Only the poor in spirit do not understand it.”

What do you think of the video?

Pray for vocations! 🙏
