What a beautiful chapel! 😍

Blake Shelton proposed to Gwen Stefani at the end of October in a chapel surrounded with Catholic art.

The engagement announcement posted Oct. 27 shows Stefani and Shelton standing in a chapel, surrounded by the Stations of the Cross, a crucifix, and a stained-glass window of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The photo’s location is unclear. However, multiple reports say that Shelton built the chapel for Stefani on his Oklahoma ranch. Stefani is a practicing Catholic.

Blake Shelton’s Instagram post reads, “Hey [Gwen Stefani], thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life. I love you. I heard a ‘YES’!”

Gwen Stefani’s Instagram post reads, “[Blake Shelton], yes please! 💍 🙏🏻  gx”.

ChurchPOP reported last December that Gwen Stefani planned to wait to marry the country star until the Catholic Church annulled her marriage to musician Gavin Rossdale. Sources told US Weekly in March 2019 that “they want to make sure they have God on their side.”

Stefani divorced Rossdale in 2016 after 14 years of marriage. They have three children together.

“Gwen’s religion has always been extremely important to her, and Blake is completely supportive of this,” the report said. “They’re willing to wait.”

However, it is unclear if the Church granted her an annulment. The church requires an annulment before permitting remarriage, or the union will not be sacramentally recognized.

Please pray for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton!
