Justin Bieber says a “new era” of music begins upon the release of his new single “Holy.” The song and music video focusing on Christian marriage dropped in late September. The song recently hit #3 on the Billboard 100.
The video featuring guest artist Chance the Rapper follows a struggling married couple trying to make ends meet. Bieber sings that his wife’s embrace feels “holy. He also describes his desire to run towards the altar of God “like a track star.”
Bieber’s video features at least two crucifixes. One during the video’s opening, and another around his on-screen wife’s neck.

Bieber has a history of “heavy drug addiction,” but said he overcame it through God’s grace and blessings.
“I want to be motivated by truth and love,” Bieber said in a Sept. 6 Instagram post. “I want to be aware of my blind spots and learn from them! I want to walk in the plans God has for me and not try and do it on my own.”
Bieber married model Hailey Baldwin Bieber in a Christian ceremony in 2019.
“I want to give up my selfish desires so I can be a good husband and future dad!” he adds. “I’m grateful that I can walk with Jesus as He leads the way.”
