Lord have mercy! Please pray for Colombia!

The Colombian government partially decriminalized abortion on Mon., Feb. 21. The Constitutional Court of Colombia will now allow abortions up to 24 weeks of pregnancy.

The country is 70 percent Catholic.

Several videos surfaced online of crowds of female activists cheering in the streets after the ruling.

“Look at these wicked women celebrating being allowed to legally kill their children in Colombia,” Blaze reporter Elijah Schaffer wrote on Twitter.

“Men, we must take back your countries and restore proper order from these feminist murderers.”

“Colombia legalized abortions up to 24 weeks — allowing abortionists to kill defenseless little babies, some of whom are viable and can live outside the womb,” LifeNews.com also wrote.

“They may have won the battle but the war is not over. We will never stop fighting to protect the unborn!”

Catholic Church teaching on abortion:

“Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person – among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2270)

“Since the first century, the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law…” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2271)
