“Happy Sunday! I am proud to say I live for Jesus Christ. Who’s with me?” he wrote.
After his post reached more than two million X viewers, the sports vlog and interview channel, "Chat Us Up," took the opportunity to ask him about this public declaration:
During the conversation, the "Chat Us Up," host asked if a Bible verse guided his daily life. Muniz said that his faith is relatively new:
“I found it on accident,” he said.
In the video, Muniz recalled that while traveling across the United States, he experienced a difficult moment that drew him towards Christianity:
“I was driving across the country... and everything that could possibly go wrong was going wrong. I was almost in tears, and the only station that would play was K-LOVE. This was [about] six years ago.”
Muniz explained that Kari Jobe's "Cover the Earth" and Big Daddy Weave's "Overwhelmed" played back-to-back "at the perfect moment" while he drove through New Mexico.
“I haven’t turned off that radio station since," he said. "I started going to church every Sunday and really kind of being more involved in my faith. It’s definitely become a big part of my life because of that trip.”
Muniz then adds that he enjoys listening to Christian artists Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, and Andrew Ripp. He said listening to Christian music helps him with stress, anxiety, and "puts him in the right frame of mind."
"I love it all," he said. "It makes me feel good."
