This is so awesome! 👏
Bishop Robert Barron of the Diocese of Winona–Rochester and founder of Word on Fire Ministries recently took his evangelization to the streets.
Bishop Barron published several photos to his social media accounts documenting the experience.
In his post, Bishop Barron writes:
“Friends, Jesus told his disciples to proclaim the Gospel to all the nations. Last week, I had the opportunity to answer Christ’s call alongside the wonderful volunteers of St. Paul Street Evangelization.”
The photos feature Bishop Barron ministering to people in an undisclosed city. St. Paul Street Evangelization placed signs on the sidewalk informing the public of his availability.
One side of the sign reads,
“Ask the Bishop - Robert Barron is available: to listen, to pray with you, to give a blessing, to hear confession.”
The other side of the sign reads,
“Ask a priest - a Catholic priest is available to listen, to pray with you, to give a blessing, to hear confession.”
What is St. Paul Street Evangelization?
According to Saint Paul Street Evangelization’s website,
“St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE) is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to responding to the mandate of Jesus to preach the Gospel to all nations by taking the Catholic Faith to the streets.”
“As an on-the-street Catholic evangelization organization, St. Paul Street Evangelization provides an avenue for people to share the Person of Jesus Christ and the truth and beauty of the Catholic Faith with a hungry culture.”
