We need St. Michael now more than ever!
CatholicVote, an advocacy group whose mission is to “inspire every Catholic in America to live out the truths of our faith in public life,” launched a national novena campaign to St. Michael the Archangel.
The organization invites all Catholics to pray and fast for a nine-day novena beginning Sept. 20 and ending Sept. 29, the feast of the Archangels.
“Burning churches. Firebombed offices. Headless statues. While we demand justice, we also know that some demons ‘can only be driven out by prayer and fasting,’ the website’s description explains.

As of this writing, the campaign’s website says over 24,000 Catholics pledged to pray the novena.
CatholicVote president Brian Burch also explains the campaign in a powerful video invitation.
“The Catholic faith and human life itself is under assault in America. We’ve seen a surge in violence against our faith for over two years,” Birch says.
“The violence really gained steamed in early May with the leak of the Dobbs decision. Since then, there have been over 45 attacks on Catholic Churches, and 62 attacks, including firebombing, on pregnancy resource centers across 26 states.”

“Every day [of the novena] we will pray, through the intercession of St. Michael, that Jesus Christ will save our churches and pregnancy centers so that we can continue to serve the families, women, and children who depend on us.
“Prayer changes history and it will heal our country. So gather your friends, call your pastor, share this novena with everyone you know.
“For nine days, Catholics all over America will ask St. Michael the Archangel to wage battle on our behalf against all the powers of darkness that infect the hearts and minds of our persecutors.
“When the apostles asked Him why they couldn’t drive out a particularly powerful demon, Jesus responded, ‘This kind can only be driven out by prayer and fasting.'”
