Church bells started ringing again for the first time in two years in the newly liberated Iraqi town of Bartella.
Iraqi forces have been gaining ground against ISIS recently, particularly in a push to retake the major city of Mosul. Mosul, which some estimate to have a population of around 1 million people, is the last major Iraqi city controlled by ISIS. It has been ruled by ISIS since June 2014.
Videos of the largely abandoned city of Bartella show churches trashed and damaged. But at least Christians can come back safely now.
