This is awesome! 💪

Fox News anchor David Asman made an epic shout-out to EWTN foundress Mother Angelica in a now-viral tweet.

Asman responded to CNN’s Don Lemon after he said women over the age of 40 are no longer “in their prime.”

Lemon said, “Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime. Sorry, when a woman is in their prime in their 20s and 30s, and maybe even 40s…”

Here’s Asman’s response:

“Mrs. Thatcher began her historic 11-year run as [Prime Minister] in her 54th year. Mother Angelica built EWTN into a world-wide TV network in her 60s and 70s.”

As of this writing, Asman’s tweet received over 1000 likes, almost 500 retweets, and 1.3 million views.

Here’s what some users said:

Fox’s ‘Gutfeld!’ co-host Kat Kimpf responded,My grandma loved Mother Angelica. She was always on at her house. 😭”

Another user commented, “Good for Mother Angelica – a strong, powerful woman who forged ahead, and did not think of age. Ageism is negative and holds back progress and open thinking.”

This user also said, “For a second there I thought that Don Lemon had heard of Mother Angelica. Pity if he hasn’t. Thanks for the shout-out for successful women, [David Asman]!”

One user added, “He’s ok with Mrs. Bill, Pelosi, Waters, Warren, etc. What a hypocritical, sexist & ageist thing to say. And he will get a pass (Mother Angelica-good choice).”

Mother Angelica founded EWTN at age 58, and led the network into her late 70s.

She also hosted ‘Mother Angelic Live’ for almost 20 years. The network, which also owns ChurchPOP, was founded in 1981. It is now the largest Catholic media corporation in the world.

Say a prayer for EWTN!
