Are you going to Washington, D.C., for the National March for Life? 

If so, here are some events you may not want to miss. 

National March for Life 

The theme of the 2025 National March for Life is “Life: Why We March.”

The official program kicks off at 11:00 a.m. with a pre-rally concert featuring the band Unspoken. The rally follows at 12:00 p.m. with keynote speaker Bethany Hamilton, and notable pro-life advocates and representatives such as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Senate Majority Leader Sen. John Thune, New Jersey Rep. Chris Smith, Bishop Daniel E. Thomas, and President of Live Action Lila Rose, among others. The march will begin at 1:00 p.m. You can view the route here.

Life Fest

The Sisters of Life, the Knights of Columbus, and the Diocese of Arlington’s Life is Very Good Rally will be coming together to feature Life Fest 2025.

This event will take place on Friday, Jan. 23, 2025, at EagleBank Arena, Fairfax, Va. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with the official program from 7:00 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.

According to Life Fest's website, it will be “a night of praise and morning rally, featuring dynamic speakers, music, holy mass, and more.”

There will also be a rally and Mass the following morning on January 24 in the same location from 8:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. with doors opening at 7:30 a.m. 

There will be a music performance by Matt Maher on Thursday night. Speakers include Father Gregory Pine, O.P., Archbishop William Lori, Bishop Michael Burbidge, Sister Cora Caeli, SV, Sister Charity, SV, among others. The full speaker list can be found here.

According to the website, “There will be confessions available from 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, and from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24.

Attendees of Life Fest will have the opportunity to venerate first-class relics of Pope St. John Paul II; Blessed Carlo Acutis, who is slated for canonization in 2025; the recently beatified Ulma family; Blessed Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus, among others.” You can purchase tickets for the event here.

National Prayer Vigil for Life

There will be a National Prayer Vigil for Life on January 23-24 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

According to the Basilica's website, “The Opening Mass will begin at 5:00 p.m. on January 23 in the Great Upper Church of the Basilica. Immediately following the Opening Mass, the National Holy Hour for Life will be held through 8:00 p.m. The National Prayer Vigil will conclude with the Closing Mass at 8:00 a.m. on January 24 in the Great Upper Church."

Youth Mass for Life

For those who live in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., there will be a morning “Youth Mass for Life” at the Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle.

The website states, “Youth from The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington are invited to participate in a Youth Mass for Life. Please join our local schools, youth ministries, and many other young people of the Archdiocese to worship together in celebration and thanksgiving for life. Cardinal Gregory will be the principal celebrant with mass beginning at 10:30 and doors opening at 7:00 a.m. for talks, music, time for reconciliation, and adoration."
