One Protestant woman went viral on social media after she published her reasoning for praying the Holy Rosary.

Instagram influencer Sarah Giles shared her testimony about why she began praying the rosary as a Protestant. Giles is now researching more into the Catholic Church and her teachings.

Giles begins by debunking the myth that praying the Rosary is “demonic, satanic, or a tool used for idolatry.”

“None of those are true, and quite frankly, we sound a little bit uneducated when we say those things,” Giles says. “I know this because that’s how I sounded when I first started learning about the rosary.”

Giles invites her viewers to open their “hearts and minds” to the truth, and to “do your research.”

The influencer then explains why the rosary is “a very powerful tool” due to its biblical roots and meditations.

“This tool is used to meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It’s used to meditate on specific mysteries — whether the Sorrowful Mysteries or the Glorious Mysteries — to place yourself at the scene, or to look through the eyes of the people who were there and meditate on that,” she says.

Giles says praying the rosary “has ignited” her prayer life, “deepened her relationship with the Lord,” and she feels like it is a spiritual weapon.

“Even when I wore this for two days after I started praying the rosary, I felt like I had a weapon with me. Not because of what this is, but because of what God is doing through it.”

Giles concludes her video by inviting others to more thoroughly research the rosary:

“This is so powerful, and I would encourage you: if you haven’t researched for yourself what Catholics or Orthodox actually believe about the rosary, look into it before you form a prejudice,” she emphasized. “And even just try it with an open heart. See what the Lord has to tell you about it.”

"I’m a Protestant who has been praying the rosary for the last month. Let’s talk about it.
Let’s just debunk right now one of the most silly comments I’ve heard — that this is demonic, satanic, or a tool used for idolatry. None of those are true, and quite frankly, we sound a little bit uneducated when we say those things.
I know this because that’s how I sounded when I first started learning about the rosary. I had a prejudice against the Catholic Church because I thought I knew what they believed, when in fact I did not.
So go into it with an open heart and an open mind. Let the Lord tell you what He wants to tell you about it, and do your research.
Secondly, this is a very, very powerful tool for prayer. Let me tell you why.
This tool is used to meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It’s used to meditate on specific mysteries — whether the Sorrowful Mysteries or the Glorious Mysteries — to place yourself at the scene, or to look through the eyes of the people who were there and meditate on that.
And that is so powerful.
To reflect on it constantly, every day — and even numerous times a day, as many people do when they pray the rosary — that alone is so powerful.
This has ignited my prayer life. This has deepened my relationship with the Lord drastically.
And even when I wore this for two days after I started praying the rosary, I felt like I had a weapon with me. Not because of what this is, but because of what God is doing through it. Let’s not get that confused.
But it felt like a weapon, and it still does. I pray that I can get it blessed by a priest — that would be really cool.
This is so powerful. I started praying it because I wanted to have an open heart and say, “Well, what’s the rosary all about?”
At first, I even took out the Marian prayers because I didn’t know how I felt about that. I’ve since added them back.
But this is so powerful, and I would encourage you: if you haven’t researched for yourself what Catholics or Orthodox actually believe about the rosary, look into it before you form a prejudice.
And even just try it with an open heart. See what the Lord has to tell you about it.
That’s been my journey over the last month. I just wanted to share it with you all.”

As of this writing, Sarah Giles’ video about praying the rosary generated nearly 10,000 likes and almost 80,000 views.

Here’s what some users said about it:

“This gal IS CATHOLIC, she just doesn't know it yet! What a great post from her,” one user said.
“The rosary is such a life-changing prayer,” another person added. “Thank you for your beautiful witness.”
“I love this!! I pray that God continues to reveal the truth of the Catholic Church to you,” someone else wrote.

Let us pray that more Catholics and Non-Catholics pray the rosary daily!
