“I started going to Mass every week again for the first time in literal years and felt so much peace and connection to the Lord. Then, about three weeks ago, I got a call for my kidney/liver transplant!" she wrote.
"Got my dual kidney/liver transplant! The kidney started working immediately, and there were no surgical complications! Everything went perfectly! so blessed :) God bless everyone! Also, the hospital chaplain who comes and gives me communion is so sweet. I love her.”
Haley Grace shared more of her story on Instagram:
“On July 4th, 2025, I had my dual organ liver+kidney transplant at UCLA. The operation went perfectly, and the organs were the perfect fit and the perfect match. I’m not even 72 hours post-op op and I already feel so much better. My skin is no longer yellow, my abdomen is no longer distended, I actually have some energy. I obviously still have a long road ahead, but I am so beyond thankful for this second chance at life. It truly is a blessing. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and continues to support me throughout this process.”
Many users congratulated her on a successful surgery. Some people even included their testimonies about the power of prayer.
“God bless you! Prayers work. I prayed to Blessed Father Michael McGivney when I was very sick, and 27 months ago, I was saved by a double lung transplant and double heart bypass,” one user shared. “Very few complications. Many people prayed for me as well. I pray your transplant journey is a smooth one and you are able to lead as normal a life as possible.”
“Praise God!” another user celebrated. “I'm a living kidney donor - so happy to hear more success stories of kidney matches! Getting both is amazing!”
“God is good, you were in such good hands,” someone else wrote on Instagram. “Praying for your fast recovery.”
