Fr. Aloysius Schwartz was an amazing and holy priest!

On this episode of The Catholic Talk Show, Ryan Scheel, Fr. Rich Pagano, and Ryan Dellacrosse speak with author Kevin Wells about Ven. Fr. Aloysius Schwartz. Wells wrote the book Priest & Beggar about Fr. Al’s life.

This amazing priest helped poor orphans in Korea, the Philippines, and Mexico. The DC Comic “Boy Commandos” also inspired him to become a Catholic priest and serve “the poorest of the poor.” He may even become the next canonized saint!

The guys discuss these topics:

• Why Fr. Aloysius requested the worst places to serve
• His epic battles with gangsters and bishops
• How his handkerchief was his secret weapon
• Why he is considered “Priest and Beggar”
• How he saved more than 150,000 orphans
