Betty Adams’ 95th birthday celebration came with an unexpected surprise: the Catholic priest attending her birthday party slipped off his fedora and returned wearing his vestments for Mass.
Erin Hall (@oscilatey on Instagram) shared the moment in an Instagram reel that has drawn more than 810,000 views and 35,000 likes.
“The surprise was on us when Father John slipped off his fedora and came back in his vestments,” Hall wrote in the caption. “That’s one way to get us all to Mass.”
The post also included a loving birthday tribute to Adams, along with a little wisdom from the newly minted 95-year-old.
