I cannot reiterate enough how important it is to pray the Rosary!

Some people say, “I don’t have time,” “it’s boring,” “I don’t connect to it,” “it’s too long and I can’t concentrate,” or “there are other ways to pray.”

Here’s my answer:

1) “I don’t have time”

How much media do you consume?

The Rosary takes about 15-20 minutes. If you spend hours online or enjoying recreational entertainment, this is not an excuse. Pray it anywhere. Pray one decade at a time. Pray it while you do the dishes, cook, or fold the laundry (that’s what I do!).

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta carried her Rosary everywhere and prayed it all throughout the day. Padre Pio also prayed it unceasingly.

Our Lady just asks that we pray it!

2) “I don’t connect to it”

You don’t feel connected to the Gospel? The Rosary is one giant meditation on the Gospel. If you are a Christian, the Gospel should be your lifeline.

Our Lord is waiting! Our Lady is waiting to connect with you and love you. She is our Mother, as Jesus is our brother. Their love and grace wait for you to latch onto through the power of the Rosary.

3) “It’s boring!”

You think the Gospel is boring? Meditate upon the Gospel and each Rosary prayer. Consciously mediate upon both and the Rosary will not bore you!

4) “It’s too long and I can’t concentrate.”

Break it up into pieces throughout the day. One decade takes about two minutes. Sometimes all Jesus asks for is a couple minutes, and it is so worth the reward!

5) “There are other ways to pray.”

Yes, there are many other ways to pray. However, Jesus’ Mother asks us to pray the Rosary.

Our Lady of Fatima said, “Pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary to obtain peace in the world…for she alone can save it.”

My personal experience with the Rosary is this:

My day feels incomplete and empty without it. I know so many graces flow from it– more than any other prayer (besides the Mass.) If you do not pray the Rosary regularly, you will not understand its benefits until you experience it for yourself.

I promise, you will not regret this devotion once you begin. It will change your life. It changed mine.
