Lord, please have mercy!

A gay pride parade held in Cremona, Italy on Sat., June 4, 2022 blasphemed our Lady with a horrific mannequin mocking her perpetual virginity.

Parade participants carried a topless mannequin dressed in graphic sexual attire. The haloed image also wore a head veil, dark make-up, red heels, and a skirt.

Catholics across the world expressed outrage over the offense against the faith and the mockery of Our Lady’s perpetual virginity.

Diocese of Cremona Bishop Antonio Napolioni issued a public statement addressing the offense. He said the event’s blasphemy “shocked” and “pained” him.

Here’s the full text of his statement:

“In the aftermath of the ‘Cremona Pride’ event held on Sat., June 4 in the city, I am shocked by numerous citizens, believers and non-believers, for the presence of offensive and obviously blasphemous images, which cannot have any educational or communicative value of values and rights.

“These are gestures that do no good to anyone, and that also hurt the many who are committing themselves with mutual respect for a society without discrimination.

“I express my pain and that of the Christian community, in the desire to always learn from the Mother of God and of humanity a gaze of welcome, understanding and reconciliation towards all.

“The Cremonese Church, engaged in an open synodal dialogue with many voices and experiences of its own communities and civil society, will nourish in prayer the further commitment of proclamation and dialogue, which these sad episodes do not have the strength to undermine.”

Reparation for the blasphemies against Our Lady

According to Italian news outlet Sky TG24, Christians in the Cremonese community organized a public rosary of reparation following these offenses against Our Lady.

Our Lord and the Blessed Mother warned against these atrocities at Fatima in 1917 and to Sr. Lucia in 1939.

They called the faithful to practice the Five First Saturdays devotion in reparation for these sins against Our Lady. Click here to learn more.

The Fatima Angel’s Prayer of Reparation

“O Most Holy Trinity,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I adore Thee profoundly.

I offer Thee the most precious
Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ
present in all the tabernacles of the world,
in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences
by which He is offended.

By the infinite merits
of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary
I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

Amen.
