Actors Mark Wahlberg and Mario Lopez celebrated Sunday worship in a recent viral video published on April 23.

With an Easter cross in the background, Wahlberg refers to Lopez as his “Brother in Christ,” and “in life,” while they give each other a fist bump.

“We’re about to get into that church and stay prayed up,” Wahlberg says while making the sign of the cross.

Lopez then responds, “Always…Gotta build those spiritual muscles as well.”

“Stay prayed up. God bless you,” Wahlberg reiterates as he makes the Sign of the Cross again.

Lopez then concludes as they walk away from the camera, “God bless you.”

As of this writing, the video generated over four million views, nearly 400,000 likes, almost 14,000 shares, and over 4,000 comments. The faith-centered message generated far more views than most of Wahlberg’s recent videos.

Wahlberg and Lopez became more vocal about their Catholic faith in recent years.

On Ash Wednesday, Wahlberg appeared on NBC’s “Today Show” for an interview discussing his faith, family life, the season of lent, and his involvement with the Catholic prayer app, Hallow, all while sporting his ashes.

He quoted Pope Benedict XVI, stressing the importance of community faith worship.

“The world affords you a lot of comfortable. We’re not made for comfort. We’re made for greatness. In order to be [great], we gotta be in the fight to get the rewards,” Wahlberg told “Today Show” host Savannah Guthrie.

In 2022, Wahlberg also created and starred in the movie about Father Stuart Long, a boxer-turned-Catholic priest who converted to Catholicism, realizing his call to the priesthood during his baptism.

Lopez often expresses love for his Catholic faith as well.

Last year, the television host and former “Saved by the Bell” actor celebrated his son’s first Holy Communion with his wife and children.

“Our Dominic had his First Holy Communion and we couldn’t be more proud,” Lopez posted, along with several photos.

In addition, he often publishes videos and memes referencing the Catholic faith.

Let us pray more Hollywood celebrities will use their voice to evangelize the faith!
