Praise God for His goodness and mercy!

Actor Chris Pratt, who is known for his roles in "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Thor," and "Garfield," expressed his gratitude to God for "miraculously" saving his home from the Los Angeles wildfires.

Pratt published the update in an Instagram video on January 22 to his 45 million followers.

As of this writing, at least 27 people have died and 12,300 structures were destroyed as a result of the wildfires.

Pratt explains his house is "miraculously still standing" and attributes it to "the grace of God." He says many in the community lost their homes to the fires.

"It's just wild and we're resilient and we trust in God. And consider it all a blessing," Pratt says. "Thanks for all your prayers, your support, and your help."

Here's the full text of Chris Pratt's reel:

"All right, I'm gonna check out my house. Miraculously, it's still standing.
By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof. I'm gonna go check out the town. I haven't been back since the Palisades fires. It's truly devastating, as, you know, and, and yeah, silver lining as my house was saved, but at the same time, so many people's houses were burned around us, and the community's gone, my son's school is gone, my son's mom's house burned down. Dozens of our friends lost their homes. It's just wild and we're resilient and we trust in God. And consider it all a blessing.
Thanks for all your prayers, your support, and your help. It's been inspiring to see how our communities come together, and I'll give you more updates now that we're kind of getting back into life. Here we go. God bless you. Thank you for your prayers. Talk to you soon."

As of this writing, Pratt's reel generated over three million views, 160,000 likes, over 2,200 comments, and almost 2,000 shares.

Thousands of social media users joined Chris Pratt in praising God's greatness.

Here's what some users said:

"By the Grace of God 🙌🏾," one user said, echoing Pratt's statement.

"My heart just hurts hearing stories of people wishing they had grabbed journals and wedding dresses," someone else said. "I don’t care what your status is or how rich you are… homes have memories and even priceless items that anyone would feel heartbroken if they lost. I’m so glad your home and family are safe."

"I’m so glad your home was spared. But I can’t imagine the conflicting emotions. Continuing to keep you and your community in our prayers," another user said.

"PRAISE GOD!" one user rejoiced. "We are so happy for y'all that your home was saved. Praying for all affected."

On January 8, ChurchPOP reported that Pratt asked his social media followers to pray for the firefighters and victims of the Los Angeles fires.

Pratt wrote,

"Jesus protect the lives of those battling the flames and the lives of those who couldn’t evacuate."

Let us pray for all those affected by the California wildfires!
