Jesus presented the Sacred Heart devotion to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque during four visions from 1673-1675:
“My Divine Master revealed to me that it was His ardent desire to be known, loved and honored by men, and His eager desire to draw them back from the road to perdition, along which Satan is driving them in countless numbers, that induced Him to manifest His Heart to men with all the treasures of love, mercy, grace, sanctification and salvation that It contains.”

1) Morning Offering to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all our associates,
and in particular for the intentions of our Holy Father.
2) Short Prayer to the Sacred Heart
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You!
3) Consecration to the Sacred Heart
O, Sacred Heart of Jesus,
filled with Infinite Love,
broken by our ingratitude,
and pierced by our sins,
yet loving us still,
accept the consecration we make to Thee
of all that we are and all that we have.
Take every faculty of our souls and bodies,
only day by day draw us nearer and nearer to Thy Sacred Heart,
and there, as we shall hear the lesson,
teach us Thy Holy Way.

4) Daily Prayer to the Sacred Heart
O God, Who dost deign mercifully to bestow upon us
infinite treasures of love in the Heart of Thy Son,
which was wounded for our sins;
grant, we beseech Thee,
that we who pay Him the devout homage of our piety,
may in like manner show unto Thee
our due of worthy satisfaction.
Through the same Christ our Lord.

5) Memorare to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Remember, O most sweet Jesus,
that no one who has had recourse to Thy Sacred Heart,
implored its help, or sought its mercy, was ever abandoned.Encouraged with confidence, O tenderest of hearts,
we present ourselves before Thee,
crushed beneath the weight of our sins.In our misery, O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
despise not our simple prayers,
but mercifully grant our requests.
6) Prayer for Trust in the Sacred Heart
O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.
7) Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
I salute Thee, O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
living and vivifying source of eternal life,
infinite treasury of the Divinity,
ardent furnace of Divine love;
Thou art the place of my repose and my refuge.
Enkindle in my heart the fire of that ardent love
with which Thine own is all inflamed;
pour into my heart the great graces
of which Thine is the source,
and grant that my heart may be so closely united to Thine,
Thy will may be mine,
and that Thy will may be eternally conformed to Thine,
since I desire that henceforth
Thy holy will may be the rule of all my desires
and all my actions. Amen.
