Massive St. John Paul II Mural Painted on Apt. Building in Poland – Watch Creation in 2-Min Time Lapse!

This is so cool! đ±
Stalowa Wola, Poland hired artist Piotr TopczyĆko to paint a giant mural of Pope St. John Paul II on the side of an apartment building along the city’s John Paul II Avenue.
The 30-foot wide, 100-foot tall mural of St. John Paul II holding the papal cross honors the centenary of his birth and the 42nd anniversary of his election.
Retired auxiliary bishop Bishop Edward Frankowski of Sandomierz blessed mural on Oct. 18.
“The mural of Saint John Paul II is of great importance today for all who come here,” Bishop Frankowski said. They will look and can already realize who we belong to and what debt we owe to the Holy Father, and above all to the Lord Jesus, who gave us the beloved Pope Saint John Paul II.
“We will pray that his intercession over the city of Stalowa Wola will be wonderful, that we can count on his constant help and protection, and above all, that he will stimulate the inhabitants of Stalowa Wola, that they will have a steely character, strong faith, hope and love, and initiatives that serve to strengthen religious and patriotic life”
St. John Paul II praised the city of Stalowa Wola for building the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Poland, despite communist opposition.
Therefore, the mural quoted his words about the city: âI embrace with my heart Stalowa Wola, a city symbolic of the great faith of working people.â
Stalowa Wola Mayor Lucjusz NadbereĆŒny posted a video of the artist creating the mural to his Twitter account on Oct. 16, the 42nd anniversary of St. John Paul II’s election as pope.
Here’s the creation of the mural in a 2-minute time lapse:
