Whoa! 🤯 What do you think of this?

A video of a Eucharistic host beating like a human heart recently went viral on social media.

The video was captured on July 22 at Our Lady of the Rosary parish in Zapotlanejo, a town in the Mexican state of Jalisco, during Eucharistic exposition.

Argentinian priest Father Carlos Spahn, who presided over Mass and Eucharistic exposition that day, says he witnessed the event.

He explained the video is authentic, however, he cannot confirm the alleged miracle, because he “does not have the authorization to do it.”

The video’s caption reads, “Miracle in Mexico. While Father Carlos Spahn was exposing the Blessed Sacrament, the host began to throb.”

Fr. Sphan told ACI Presna the alleged miracle occurred for about 20 or 30 seconds.

“We exposed the Blessed Sacrament, I made the prayers for exposition, and when I got up to go to the sacristy, this began to happen.”

People “couldn’t believe what they saw,” he said.

The priest added that those in attendance “quickly took out their cell phones and filmed it.” He requested they pass the videos onto him promptly so they could not be altered.

“So I attest that this is authentic, from the exact moment,” Fr. Sphan said.

The priest also said a doctor analyzed the video, and the host emulates that of a beating heart.

“It has the beating of a heart, perfectly like a human heart,” he said. “A doctor measured the movement of this heart, and he said it corresponds to the beating of a human heart.

“And a lady who had converted had a strong conversion. She made communion, and the host started beating in her mouth. What happened to that lady in her mouth is also happening outside – that the host exposed in the Eucharist is beating.”

Here’s the audio clip of Fr. Sphan explaining the event:

Fr. Sphan said in an additional statement that the event repeated at various instances between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. However, not everyone in attendance saw the beating host.

He explained that this indicates “divine origin, because if it were a natural thing, everyone would see it at the same time.”
